On Thursday 2/13 from 4-8 pm, Maggios Wood Fired Pizza at 7212 W North Ave in Wauwatosa will host a Dine Out fundraiser. They will give our school 20% back when you mention Whitman when you order for dine in or tell them at pick up for online orders. Thanks for your support of our school through these fundraisers!

Here are a few notable days in February: National Freedom Day (February 1st) – On this day, we commemorate the signing of the 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery in the United States. National Freedom Day serves as a reminder of the continuous fight for freedom and equality. Rosa Parks Day (February 4th) – A pivotal moment in the Civil Rights Movement, this day honors Rosa Parks, whose act of defiance by refusing to give up her seat on a segregated bus sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott and became a symbol of resistance to racial injustice. Mexican Constitution Day (February 5th)-is a national holiday in Mexico, celebrated each year. It commemorates the adoption of the 1917 Mexican Constitution, which established the legal framework for the country's government and society following the Mexican Revolution. International Day of Women and Girls in Science (February 11th) – This observance focuses on the need to inspire, encourage, and celebrate the role of women and girls in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. It's a day to recognize the contributions of women in science and advocate for greater gender equality. World Day of Social Justice (February 20th) – A day dedicated to promoting social justice in all its forms. It highlights issues such as poverty, inequality, human rights, and access to education and healthcare, while reminding us of the importance of creating fair and inclusive societies for all. Black History Month – Throughout the entire month of February, we celebrate the achievements and contributions of Black Americans throughout history. This month serves to honor the history, culture, and ongoing efforts of equality and justice for Black Americans.
